The Stash Crashers Project!!

We'd be rich and retired if we had a nickel for every time that we heard

"I'm using up my stash before I buy one more piece of fabric!"

Being the helpful girls that we are, we decided to aid you in your efforts! Scrap Basket Surprises, a new book from That Patchwork Place, will also help to whittle down those fabrics you are bound and determined to move on out. The great thing is that all the quilts are made with 2 ½" strips, so even if you don't want to tap into the stash, jelly rolls work just great.

Scrap quilts are great because you can use fabrics that you weren't sure why you bought! When you put those "questionable" fabrics in with a ton others, they play very nicely. You can make lots of scrap quilts now and be ready for next Christmas with gifts that the whole family will love!

We'll be using this book and its beautiful and fun projects to start decreasing that stash. You'll come with some strips, we'll make a block and then you can head home, whip out more of the same and then pop them together for a great quilt. Come back the next month and we'll start another one. Each of the designs are very do-able and beautiful.

Cost of the class each month is $5.00 and you don't need to commit to every month. We think that you'll want to come each month, but we also know that "life" doesn't allow for that. We want you to feel free to come whenever you can make it!! We'll begin @ 11:30 each month - right after the What's New workshops.

The dates for the workshops are listed below, so you can mark your calendar. When we finalize things, we'll add more dates in for the rest of the year. We'll also be letting you know which project we will be doing from the book each month in our Hot Sheet. You can also check on the website to see which one we'll be highlighting.

So start whacking up the stash into 2 ½" strips and by this time next year you'll have some of the stash moved out and ready to get something new!!!

Summer Stash Crashers dates and projects:

• July 17th - Scrap Basket Blues (or any other color that you want it to be!)
• August 14th - Beach Cottage - the perfect time to head for the beach.
• September 18th - Monkey Business - let the kids go back to school and you're ready for some Monkey Business!!!
