Foster Quilts

Foster Quilts is a program that was implemented at Material Rewards in response to a need for quilts for foster kids. When most children are placed in foster care, they usually have the clothes on their backs and a small bag of their belongings. It is our intention that they get a little love in the form of a cuddly quilt to know that someone out there cares for them. We work with a variety of local Social Service Departments that hand these quilts out to the children. At this point in time, we have delivered over 200 quilts for the kids! Here's what you can do to help:

Kits are available through the shop for $20. They are simple in design - a 9-patch with a plain block and a small border. The kit includes all fabrics for the entire quilt plus the batting, backing and binding.

When the finished quilt is returned to us, machine quilted, you will receive a $10 gift certificate for Material Rewards to thank you for your participation.

If you would like a kit shipped to you, the shipping cost would be added to the cost of the kit.
